DJ Sied Van Reil's remixes

DJ Sied Van Reil has been named as one amongst the top producers in the world by DJ Tiesto. Known for his remixes, since the time he broke into the electronic scene in 2008, the DJ knows a thing or two about the club scene in India.

“I have heard from my friends about the electronic scene in India which I think is in its early stages right now. I know that people here love the music and the trend is ridiculously (in a good way) positive,” says the Dutch DJ Sied.

After performing at Sunburn release tour in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Delhi, Sied will perform at the actual festival that kicks off in Goa on December 27. He’s not nervous about playing to the Indian crowd for the first time. “I always go early when I have a gig where I have performed only just a few times. I check out what the other DJs are playing if there’s a line-up, I see the reaction of the crowd,” says the DJ.

He has certain tracks which he knows he’ll surely be playing. And then, he’ll simply keep to the sounds that’ll keep the party going. “Then there’s no point playing hard music in the afternoon or right in the beginning. My only aim is that people should walk out of the party satisfied,” says Seid.

The DJ has been remixing tracks so far, but is currently working on his solo record.

“When some great artiste asks me to remix his song, I can’t refuse!” he says, adding, “but yes, now I am giving a lot of time to my solo album and it should come out by June next year.”
