John Abraham will play an alien in 3-D film opposite a Hollywood heroine.

Almost three decades after the release of India’s first 3D film (the Malayalam film My Dear Kuttichathan, which was dubbed as Chhota Chetan in 1998), the country's second ever 3D film will be hitting the screens in 2010. John Abraham plays the lead, but the producers are still scouting for a female lead from Hollywood. The film will be John’s first international project.

Sources add that John will play an alien in the film tentatively titled Alien Sahib. “We are talking to a few leading Hollywood heroines," says Shirish Kunder, the film's script-writer and director. "I will be flying to Hollywood soon with my wife Farah Khan to finalise the heroine.” Farah is producing the film which will be shot with the 3D technology used by Titanic director James Cameron.

“We’re using the Fusion Digital 3D Camera System patented by Cameron. We’re waiting for Cameron's new film Avatar to finish its run at theatres as only after that will I be able to import the technology here. In fact, I'm trying to get the same crew to do this film,” says Shirish. Adds a source, "There is also a possibility of finalising a Hollywood co-producer for the film, which goes on the floors after Tees Mar Khan releases, around April 2010.”
