MS Dhoni travelled to Chennai earlier this month only to meet you. Are you both seeing each other?
Why is such a noise being made about my meeting him? We just met for coffee in Chennai.

When and how did you two meet?
We were introduced to each other a few months ago, seven months to be precise, though it feels like I’ve known him for years. Dhoni and I are friends; I don’t see anything wrong in meeting up with him when he’s in town.

Where did you meet him first?
Dhoni was in Chennai, playing as part of the Super Kings. We happened to be staying at the same hotel. He dropped in at my birthday party. We have stayed in touch ever since.
 
With such busy schedules, how do you keep in touch?
We understand each others’ professional hazards. We are both busy and have weird hours. It’s a blessing that he’s captaining both the One-day and the Test teams. At least this way, I get to see him more often, even if it’s just on TV.

Is there any special gift that Dhoni has given you?
Dhoni doesn’t need to impress me with gifts. He’s much beyond all that for me. What matters to me is him.
