Deepika Padukone’s kin designs tee for John Abraham

Actress Deepika Padukone’s cousin brother has gifted a specially self-designed tee for actor John Abraham. Amit Padukone, 30, had recently been introduced to John.  Often described as a ‘Bollywood freak’, Amit now counts John among his best friends.

He has been quite close to John, and for a while has been working out with him too, according to sources. The story so far has been that Deepika’s brother had gone for a special screening of John’s upcoming film (in which he reportedly plays a part-time stripper), and wanted to gift the  actor something special.

“It was a tee designed by him, which he wanted to gift as gesture of appreciation. The two have bonded in a big way  during the making of the film, in which Deepika is paired opposite John. In fact, it was on the sets of the film that her brother was introduced to John,” the source adds.

Though sources say that Deepika’s brother is also interested in a Bollywood career, but nothing is official on that front. “The tee is lovely. You might see John wearing it in one of the upcoming events. Amit adores John,” says a source close to John.
When contacted, John admitted that Amit is the only guy he has become friends with of late. John has been making conscious efforts to relate to people from outside his fraternity, which also includes rumours of him dating a banking executive from Mumbai.

“One day, I came home to find a jersey lying on my bed along with some goodies — a bag full of mugs, chocolates etc. I have become good friends with him. We are always surrounded by people from our own industry. It’s good to relate to people from outside. It helps you stay grounded,” says John.
