Deepika Padukone throws a housewarming party

Though her former flame, actor Ranbir Kapoor couldn’t finally make it, Deepika Padukone threw a very cosy housewarming party for her industry colleagues like Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Karan Johar, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Priyanka Chopra, Imran Khan and Avantika Malik, Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Genelia D’ Souza, Riteish Desmukh and Siddharth who attended the party and stayed on till late.

Bachchan even tweeted about the party, “At a house warming get together... and the oldest among the guests... time to leave early...they who stay back will order breakfast!” tweeted Bachchan.

There was a special treatment reserved for Shah Rukh because the DJ was instructed to play Chammak Challo when he entered. The fare was a mix of South Indian and Punjabi dishes at the posh Prabhadevi apartment.

“Deepika held a small pooja during Ganpati festival before shifting to the new house. The apartment is the most expensive house bought by any actor ever. She left her old house in Bandra on a very pleasant note. She sent a box of sweets to all her neighbours with a personal note saying she was leaving,” says a source.
