Darshan will promote my film, says brother Dinakar Tugudeep

While actor Darshan is battling ill-health and cases of domestic violence, his brother Dinakar Tugudeep is gearing up for the release of their home production Sarathi.

Dinakar, who’s directed this film with Darshan and newbie Deepa Sannidhi in the lead, is confident that his brother will be around to promote it, coming out unscathed from the legal hassles.

“Darshan’s bail hearing is on Monday and we’re confident that the court will grant him bail,” says Dinakar. “My sister-in-law herself is now pleading for bail. So, I see no reason why the court will think twice before granting him bail. He will be part of the film’s promotions, it is our home production and he is the hero,” he adds.

Talking about the latest on Sarathi, Dinakar says, “The first copy of the film will be out today. We’re then hoping to take it to the censors and ensure that we’re all set for a release on the 23rd of this month. If that doesn’t work out, we’re still on course for a release by the end of this month.”

The film will have Darshan, who’s anyway a popular faces with the masses, essaying the role of an auto rickshaw driver. “This is a film that all his fans have been waiting eagerly to release. We really have our hopes pinned on this and believe that we will not disappoint a single fan as far as the film goes,” says Dinakar.

Quiz him about how their mother and the family have dealt with the entire issue and Dinakar coolly says, “We know that Darshan will be fine and come out without any problems. My mother is doing better now and we’re all sticking by each others’ side. The proof is how my sister-in-law (Darshan’s wife Vijayalakshmi) is now fighting and going all out ensuring that my brother gets the bail.”
