Dad's film top priority for Hrithik Roshan

Last year saw Hrithik Roshan joining the Rs100-crore club with Agneepath. According to industry insiders, a slew of offers followed for the star. Hrithik, however, chose to focus only on his father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan’s ambitious flick Krissh 3 that will see him reprise the role of a superhero.

He has now plunged into his next flick, the action thriller Bang Bang, said to be the Indian remake of the Tom Cruise-starrer Knight and Day. The actor, however, denies that the Siddharth Anand film is a remake. “It’s a different take completely,” says Hrithik refusing to divulge any further details on the film. But ask the sexy star about missing from the big screen for more than a year now, and Hrithik says that he plans to change that. “I will complete two films this year; so, I will make up for the gap. But may be I should make a resolution of doing more films in a year,” he laughs.

On a more serious note, he adds, “Krissh 3 is a very special film for me and I wanted to be there with my dad all through it. I am equally involved in the post-production. I was totally focused on that and didn’t want to commit to anything during that period. Yes, it took more than a year’s time, but the nature of the film is such that it required it.”

Also, keeping him busy were his several endorsements, including the soft drink brand which was earlier endorsed by Salman Khan.

“The endorsements are an extension of the real us, combined with the appeal of our screen persona. That’s why I don’t believe in endorsing anything that I am not convinced of,” adds the actor.
