Cricketers Irfan Pathan, Parthiv Patel to make TV appearance

Celebrated cricketers Irfan Pathan and Parthiv Patel will be soon seen acting in a hit TV soap Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah that has innovated a concept piggybacking on the cash rich cricket tournament.

A source close to the developments reveal, “The show has a concept called the Gokuldham Premiere League (GPL) that will see the entire cast take part in it. And this time around we have big surprises as superstar cricketers Irfan Pathan and Parthiv Patel are taking part in the show. Apparently, the famous cricket stars are regular followers of the show.”

An informer says, “Parthiv Patel and Irfan Pathan will be seen cheering the two teams of GPL. But they will make appearances separately on July 1 and July 7 respectively. Disha Vakhani, a character in the show, who in her personal life is a huge fan of cricket  was thrilled as she learned how popular she was among these famous cricketers.”

“Since my childhood I have been a huge fan and follower of the game. It is an honour to know that such national level cricket personalities enjoy our show so much that they personally made time for it,” said Disha.

Irfan says “The show is a complete family entertainment series. It is one of the only TV shows that all of us enjoy watching together as a family.” Parthiv adds, “I am thoroughly enjoying the GPL season running on the show.”
