Couldn't have asked for a better Bollywood debut: Pravesh Rana

Model and TV anchor Pravesh Rana is all set to take a plunge into Bollywood playing the title role in Tigmanshu Dhulia's adaptation of Hamlet and says he couldn't have asked for a better film to debut with.

The 27-year-old, who won the Mr India title in 2008, is looking forward to step into the Hindi film industry playing the lead in the Shakespearean tragedy.

"I play the lead role in the adaptation of Hamlet and I could not have asked for anything better than this for a beginning. With Tigmanshu in hold of the direction, the expectations are high, no doubt. I will try my best," Rana said.

Given the intensity of the character and the responsibilities attached to justifying the legendary role, Rana said he will be taking up acting workshops.

"Since it is such a celebrated character, it will have its own share of praise and criticisms. But we are trying our best to do justice to the role and conducting workshops to get into the mood of the character. We are being extra cautious," he added.

The former model, who shot to fame with the hit reality show Bigg Boss 3, said that Hamlet will be adapted to a contemporary setting in North India for the film.

However, Pravesh said, unlike the general perception about the film being a dark one, the project will actually be a commercial entertainer.

"We tend to assume that the film will be a dark one. But it will be a complete entertainment package. One will get to see all the shades of human emotions. There will be romance, jealousy, anger, greed, action, everything. The audience will not leave the theatre feeling depressed,"  said Rana.

Rana, who began his stint as a television anchor with Emotional Attyachar, will be back with Ajay Devgn on the third season of the hit reality show on UTV Bindass.

"Emotional Attyachar 3 is launching and Ajay Devgan will be co-hosting two episodes of the new season," said Rana.

The show, which was a huge hit among couples who wish to test the loyalty of their partners, promises to be more sensational this time, claimed the model.

"The new thing about the next season is that every episode will be like a season in itself. Higher technology will be used and the family and friends of participants will be involved," he added.

Rana has bagged just one film as of now but hopes to share screen space with actors Irrfan Khan and Ajay Devgan.

"I respect all of the actors in the industry, but I am keen on working with Irrfan bhai and Ajay," Rana said.

With a successful career in TV and an eye on the big screen, Rana admitted that it is not tough to juggle between both.

"I think it is about the different shades of what one can do. Its all about getting into the character of your roles. What I do is talk to myself for 20 minutes prior to my respective shoots and then go ahead," said Rana.
