Christmas spirit grips Bollywood

Whether planning high-profile parties at home or attending midnight mass, DNA uncovers how the celebs are ringing in Christmas.

Christmas has always been a happy time for Aamir Khan. Two of his films that released on Christmas in the past two years have gone on to become huge hits. Now, this year his latest film releases tomorrow.

The actor is so excited that he has decided to throw a Christmas bash for the cast and crew comprising Kareena Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, R Madhavan and director Rajkumar Hirani among others. A source says, “This movie has garnered a lot of pre-release hype and is expected to become a hit. So, Aamir is celebrating with the team by throwing a bash at his residence.”

Apart from this, theatre director Raell Padamsee has organised a private bash on Christmas eve that will see a mix of theatre biggies and society folk attending.

Celebs galore at midnight mass

The Mount Mary Church in Bandra is expected to be the hotspot for spotting celebs tonight. Many actors, politicians and Page 3 regulars will attend the midnight mass at the church on Christmas eve.

Malaika Arora-Khan and her sister Amrita Arora will step up the glam quotient as the family is expected to be there for prayers with Amrita expecting a baby soon.

Actors Lara Dutta and Genelia D'Souza and santoor player Rahul Sharma and his wife will also be seen at the same venue. 

Veteran actor Dev Anand is overzealous to visit the church.

Sanjay Dutt too may take his wife Maanyata for the mass. Rumours are abuzz that she is expecting a baby and will travel to the US soon to consult doctors. Sanjay’s sister Priya Dutt and her husband Owen Roncon are also among the probables at the same venue. 
Katrina Kaif may also visit the church with Salman Khan.

Shah Rukh Khan takes off on vacation
Shah Rukh Khan is on a two-week holiday at an undisclosed location with his wife Gauri and children where they will bring in Christmas and the New Year. Shah Rukh was heavily loaded with work this year coupled with a shoulder operation that saw him rest at home for nearly two months. His family holiday was long overdue.
