Chitrangda Singh, Deepika Padukone bond over sport talks

It’s a known fact that actor Chitrangda Singh is married to famous golfer Jyoti Randhawa, while actor Deepika Padukone has badminton legend, Prakash Padukone as her father. With a sports background in common to them, the two Bolly hotties  apparently shared good vibes on the sets of their film — a sight said to be rare among two heroines.

On the sets of their upcoming film, Desi Boyz, Deepika and Chitrangda were often spotted discussing golf as a sport. Deepika, who has been a state level badminton player before joining films, is still passionate about sports. Though Deepika is not able to attend her younger sister Anisha’s (a professional golf player) tournaments, she likes to keep herself abreast of the happenings in sport.

While discussing her newfound friendship with her female co-actor, Chitrangda dismisses the notion that two heroines can’t be friends. “Deepika is a very sweet girl. Unfortunately we didn’t have too many scenes together, but of whatever little I have interacted with her, she is polite, hard working and courteous,” she recalls. “We also spoke a lot about golf as her sister Anisha is a professional player and Deepika too is very interested in the sport,” she added.

 But those present on the sets insist that seeing the two actors gelling so well comes as a pleasant surprise. “While it isn’t uncommon to see two heroines not getting along, this was a pleasant surprise. The duo usually had to shoot separately, but whatever time they interacted for, they seemed to be cordial to each other,” said a source.
