Bollywood designers, film makers run behind international artists

With a number of international artists and performers coming down to India, our desi stars aren’t threatened, but rather trying their best to turn it to their advantage. From Bollywood blokes to fashion designers to even TV producers, everyone seems to be wanting to clamour onto these international superstars to get the best bet for themselves.

Take the current case of singer Pitbull, who will be performing in the city this weekend. Producers and organisers of films like Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl, Players , etc are trying their best to get him for their promotional events; while fashion designers Rocky S and Aki Narula are expressing keen interest to design special Indian suits for him. “He will also in talks with TV  channels to feature on their chat shows,” reveals a source.

No doubt, it’s a case of being famous by association. But how is that new to us! Similar was the scene with Shakira who had come down to Udaipur to perform at a party. Just prior to her visit, there were strong rumours of the Colombian pop star entering the reality show Bigg Boss. Singer Akon who became a hit in the city post his Chammak Challo track escaped no scuttlebutts either.

Last week itself it was music director Aadesh Shrivastava who managed to rope him in for his latest album Sound Of Peace dedicated to the 26/11 incident. The eccentric Gaga, who though did not perform in Mumbai was approached with a number of Bollywood offers too. Even the Hollywood socialite Paris Hilton managed to be a hit in the city. Off course actor Tom Cruise’s upcoming India tour is the most watched out for. And the rumours around town suggest that top film makers are already trying to make the best of it.
