Bollywood biggies to throw parties for team India

Demi Gods of the silver screen descending on the streets of Mumbai on the night India won the World Cup, it seems, was just the beginning. The Hindi film industry’s not yet done with the celebrations as private parties are being planned to laud the victorious cricketers — Sachin, Dhoni and Co.

Actor Aamir Khan is, apparently, planning to host a special dinner to honour best friend and neighbour, Sachin Tendulkar at his place. “Aamir is hosting a special party for Sachin at his place. The party will depend on Sachin’s availability, but a lunch with his family is going to follow soon. There is also a possibility of Aamir having the party at Panchgani,” says a source adding that South superstar Rajinikanth too will receive a “fervent request” from Aamir to join the party.

The next one in line is actor John Abraham, who intends to have a big celebration with best pal and skipper Dhoni. Their friendship goes a long way. “John was there at Dhoni’s wedding. He’s always been there with Dhoni at most important events. The only problem is that Bipasha too is friends with Dhoni. Given their current relationship status, it seems John’s party may not have Bipasha in it. Southpaw Yuvraj Singh may also be present at the party,” informs the source.

With everybody throwing a party, how can actor Shah Rukh Khan be left behind? “Shah Rukh is planning a celebration, but at this point of time he’s more focussed on the upcoming 20-20 cricket tournament. He is planning to host a party for Yuvraj Singh but nothing is final as yet,” says a source close to the star.
