B-town heroines plan to take the legal route to stop their morphed pictures from going viral on the net.

Morphed pictures in cyberspace leaves Bollywood actresses fuming

Actress Vidya Balan is gearing up to take legal action against a few websites who had morphed her face on a model wearing a bikini.

If sources are to be believed, then actresses Katrina Kaif and Sonakshi Sinha are also upset with the way their morphed pictures have made way into cyberspace and will take the legal recourse on a repeat.

“Vidya (who’s shooting overseas)  is  very upset with the way the picture has become hot property in cyberspace. The concerned magazine (on whose cover she has apparently been morphed) has been contacted and they have clarified that they have nothing to do with it,” says spokesperson of the actress. The actress has given a go-ahead for a legal suit if the culprit (who’s behind creating the picture) is pin-pointed or a re-run of such an incident occurs.

“She is not going to sit tight if such a thing happens again. We are exploring legal options to stop this malice against actresses of Bollywood,” the spokesperson adds.

Kaif and her sister Isabelle had also been harassed by malicious posts on the internet. Kaif’s mother Susanne Turquotte had earlier issued a press note condemning the malicious posts about Katrina and her sister and threatening legal action against the culprits.

“Katrina is aware of the malicious posts that have come up from time to time on the net. That she has kept quiet all his while doesn’t mean that she will keep quiet all the time. She’s also considering legal options for websites and software applications that tend to draw users using these tactics,” says a source.

The Mumbai police have also received several internet-related complaints from Bollywood actresses. “Yes, there are several complaints that we have received over the years but the problem is the law doesn’t have enough teeth to prosecute the culprit even we manage to nab them,” says a source from the police department.
