Bipasha Basu, Ajay Devgn campaign to save the tiger

Bipasha Basu and Ajay Devgn have been roped in by Animal Planet for the series Where Tigers Rule in support of a campaign to save the tigers. Two weeks ago the actors shot separately for a promo directed by ad filmmaker Rohit Vaid.

Sources say that  a lot of high-end graphics have been used to ensure that it appears as if both have shot with a real tiger. The promo will go air soon and the programme is slated to start from April 1. Besides thse Bolly actors, Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra will also be lending his support to the campaign.

Bipasha who has always been passionate about animals says, “We need to save the tiger, as much for its own sake as for our own.” Incidentally, last year John Abraham had supported the campaign for the conservation of tigers. Some of the leading tiger experts like Raghu Chundawat, Saba Douglas Hamilton and Valmik Thapar will help showcase the elusive lifestyle of tigers and raise concern about the grave situation of dwindling tiger population. Ajay adds, “The diminishing population of tigers is a national concern and requires collective action. I am delighted that Animal Planet has dedicated a month-long programming on our national treasure.”
