Be a bold dresser: Sameera Reddy gives 10 rules of dressing

Lose all your inhibitions if you want to dress up boldly says stylish actor Sameera Reddy.

1. A classic white shirt is a must. If you have slim arms, pick half-sleeved ones, or else go for something with full sleeves.
2. When it comes to dresses, I prefer sticking to the classic LBDs. However, I also have a fascination for long floral dresses.
3. Denims are one of those any time and any season kind of things. They’re comfortable and can be work any time of the day. However, women often go wrong when it comes to picking the right fit. So, make sure you’ve got a pair that flatters your body and not make you look odd.
4. Women can’t do without bags so you need a safe range, from big totes, slinged ones to a few clutches in basic and neutral colours.
5. I have a fetish for hats and love wearing them. I have a range of funky hats to the usual ones and I think they make a very neat style statement.
6. Watches make their own statement. I prefer the classic big dials with metal straps.
7. Sunglasses are a must. I like the Aviators by Ran Ban. You get those retro frames these days which pretty cool as well.
8. When it comes to make-up, the thumb rule is to highlight either the eyes or the lips. People go wrong by highlighting both and make a fool of themselves. If you are going heavy on the eyes, go light on the lips and vice versa.
9. The right clothes need the right footwear. Make sure you have a couple of heels, wedges and flats.
10. Lastly, remember to be a bold dresser. Lose your inhibitions and wear your outfits with confidence and style. You are your own boss, so don’t underestimate yourself!
