Bollywood singer-composer Bappi Lahiri has collaborated with Hollywood musicians for a tribute album to 'King of Pop' Michael Jackson.

Lahiri, a huge Jackson fan, has planned an emotional tribute to the pop icon, who died last month.

"I am the first music composer in Bollywood to record a song for Michael. It is a very emotional tribute. I am sure that if you love Michael Jackson, you will cry after hearing it. They are very powerful and melodious," Lahiri, fondly known as Bappida in the industry, said over phone from Los Angeles.

The 56-year-old singer has finished recording three songs for the album in Los Angeles, the rest of which will be remixes of old Jackson songs.

To give the album a Hollywood touch, Lahiri has also roped in Jackson associate Ricky Nelson and Hollywood singers Terry Young and Glenda.

"I have also done a music video which features me, Terry and Nelson. And for the first time, you will feel that Hollywood and Bollywood music has come together in one voice," the singer said adding that the songs, would be a tribute to Michael's philosophy of 'We are the world'".

Known for his disco-style music in Bollywood, Lahiri has also added a Hindi line Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna in one of the songs.

"One of the songs, 'Don't Say Good Bye' is just like Chalte-Chalte... kind of song. I have also added one Hindi line in the song Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna," said Lahiri, who is known in Bollywood for his hit numbers like I am A Disco Dancer, Jimmy, Jimmy, Yaar Bina Chain Kahan Re, Raat Baki, and Bambai Nagaria to his credit.

Rajashree Choudhury, wife of yoga guru Bikram Choudhury, has also recited a poem that will be incorporated as part of the number.
