In this busy world, one can’t always afford time when it comes to getting two different looks for the day and night. Make-up and hairdo that work best for both is an option everyone seems to be taking to. With only minor changes, one can definitely work on a look that can be carried off right through the day and evening.
DNA invites upcoming model Sashaa Ganeriwal to show you how.
This 18-year-old model has done several commercials and prints ads and was very excited to be a part of the Look of the Week. “What everyone needs today is to carry off a look that works well with any given point in the day. Keeping that in mind, Sangeetha has given me the perfect dual look. I really love the clothes and this is something close to what I dress. I also loved the make-up by Sangeetha — it was bright and young. Overall, I had a great time shooting for this,” says Sashaa.
Style that hair
The braided look was chosen for Sashaa, considering it’s totally in vogue right now. And it’s also a style that looks trendy and neat. But before that, Sashaa’s tresses were washed, conditioned and blow-dried. Sangeetha then chose a side braid for the model and it went really well with the outfit she chose to wear.
Contour my face
When it comes to the dual look, one needs to be extra cautious about make-up. You can neither go too heavy, nor too light when it comes to adding colour to the face. What Sangeetha did for Sashaa was start with the base, followed by the foundation. Then, she dabbed a blend of gold and pink eye-shadow, along with some kohl and mascara. A good amount of well-blended blush-on was used to give a natural feel along with a shade of pink for the lips.
Check that outfi
Carrying off a dress that you’ve worn for the day into the evening doesn’t have to be a challenge. Since it is summer, Sashaa picked a cool pair of shorts, a white vest-like top and a shimmering jacket. One can avoid wearing the jacket during the day, and slip it on just before heading out for a party in the evening!
Accessorise me
A good outfit requires the right accessories to go along with it. Sashaa picked up a trendy beaded bracelet from her own collection that complimented the outfit well. She also wore a metal watch with a big dial. As for shoes, she chose a pair of white pumps that completed the look. Sashaa is now all set to sizzle for the entire day...
