Bangalore men sport floral prints

There are flowers everywhere. And we are not referring to those you see on plants. Flowers, seem to be the new fashion mantra this summer. And that holds true for men too. But the question is... are you man enough to carry off the floral print?

Says designer Vivek Karunakaran, “It does work for men and looks absolutely adventurous at this time of the year. However, the entire look depends on the size of the motifs and the kind of liberty prints one is sporting. Be it light or dark, the print plays a major factor in deciding the overall look for men. Apart from the prints, one also has to keep in the mind the colour combination that they are sporting. Depending on the designs, always pick a colour that suits your personality. That apart, keep in mind the occasion you are wearing it to as well,” says Vivek, adding, “It’s ideal beach wear.”

Designer Lokessh Ahuja says, “As long as the prints are subtle, floral prints work well for both shorts and shirts. However, it is not advisable to go completely floral. For instance, if you are sporting floral print shorts, it is better to opt for a plain top or ganjee.”

Designer Satkrit Krishna feels that the look ultimately depends on the guy who’s sporting it. “Floral prints for the metro-sexual man eventually depends on the personality of a person and how he carries off the look. One needs to be stylish and fashionable enough to carry off the look,” he says.
