Bangalore Fashion Week- bigger and better

It’s time again for the Blender’s Pride Bangalore Fashion Week (BFW). This time, their Winter Festive ’11 edition is packed with a big list of designers, which includes some of the most celebrated ones in the country. Dream Merchants, the team behind the event, says this edition will be held between July 28 and 31.

Feroz Khan, from Dream Merchant, says, “We’ve got a big line-up of designers for this edition. The good news is that designer Narendra Kumar will present the grand finale. We also have designer Rocky S, who did the grand finale during our first edition. And this season, he will present the finale on the penultimate day of the show.”

“Each day has a promising line up,” he says, adding, “We have designer Riyaz Gangji presenting the pre-finale on Day One, while Pria Kataria Puri will be the finale designer. On Day Two, Abhi-Rahul from Delhi has the pre-finale show, while Jatinn Kochhar, who has always supported BFW, will present the finale.

Saturday, the penultimate day, will have local favourite Ramesh Dembla as the designer presenting the pre-finale, followed by Rocky S. Narendra Kumar will mark the end of the week,” says Khan.

The fashion week, which will be held at Hotel Crowne Plaze in Electronics City, will see three of Bangalore’s best choreographers working as the backbone. “We have Sheetal Sharma, Rahul Dev Shetty and MS Sreedhar as the choreographers, who will take care of the many shows,” says Khan.

This edition, being the Winter Festive one, will also feature the India Diamond Week, where jewellery houses Gitanjali and Sri Krishna Diamonds will present the best of their wares.
