'Avatar 2' will be monumental, says Sam Worthington

Hollywood star Sam Worthington who starred in James Cameron's Avatar, has said that the sequel to the epic 3D sci-fi will be "monumental".

Cameron, 57, who is the brain behind the movie’s concept that depicted the blue alien inhabitants in a distant planet, is reportedly trying something more adventurous for the follow up, with possible speculations of an underwater set.

"I spoke to James recently and he told me the story and it's monumental, where he’s thinking of taking it. It’s just a matter of him writing the script, piecing it together and figuring out how to push himself. He wants a challenge. And he wants to improve the audience's experience. He’s been messing about with 3-D and frame rates a lot more," Contactmusic quoted the actor as saying.

With rumours of the cast going for a rainforest trip to experience it first hand before the shoot, Worthington is prepared to do anything or go anywhere James would want to.

"I’m up for whatever James wants me to do. If he wanted me to go to the moon, I’d do it. He’s the type of guy that, not just as a director, but as a good friend, challenges me as a man," he added.
