Asin and Jacqueline Fernandes locking horns?

If the grapevine is to be believed, then the latest buzz doing the rounds is about the locking of horns of South actress Asin and Sri Lankan import Jacqueline Fernandes (Jackie).

The two ladies are working in director Sajid Khan’s Housefull 2 and buzz is that Asin is upset with Sajid as all the best scenes of the film have gone to Jackie. It may be recalled that rumours of Jackie and director Sajid Khan’s closeness are rife in the industry and apparently that has caused Asin’s worry.

An insider says, “Jackie and Sajid’s closeness has led to a situation which has highly upset Asin. Jackie, post her Murder 2 success, is riding high. Apparently, to cash in on it, Sajid has chopped Asin’s length of the role who is also one of the lead actors of his film to keep Jackie happy. But Asin has now seen the rushes and is highly annoyed that the best scenes have all been given to Jackie.”

The source adds, “Asin has given a hit film like Ready and is also a big star in the South. If we have to compare between Asin and Jackie, Asin is the bigger star, considering she has been a big star in South and right from her debut in Bollywood, she has bagged films only opposite A-list stars, be it Ghajini, London Dreams or more recently Ready. Jackie on the other hand had a slow start until Murder 2.”

However many feel that Jackie and Sajid’s supposed love story is nothing but a publicity stunt. “The gossip about their closeness only rose once they started filming for Housefull. These are nothing but publicity gimmicks, which will keep the film and them in the limelight. Asin, however, seems to be a prey of the hype that they want to create. These days to keep a high budget multi-starrer in the limelight, one needs to resort to all such tricks,” says an industrywallah.

So, what’s the truth, then?
