It has been a rather busy year for actor Arjun Rampal, who is set hopping from one film to the other. The actor, who has just wrapped up shooting for filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine, with actor Kareena Kapoor, is set to take on another challenging role. Arjun is gearing up to play a cop’s role in filmmaker Prakash Jha’s Chakravyuh. The film, which is scheduled to go on the floors this week will be shot in Madhya Pradesh. Reportedly, the film will have a political setting, just like some of Jha’s earlier outings and Arjun has to look a certain way and change his entire body language for the part.

The actor had recently taken off to Thailand to spend some quality time with wife Mehr Jessia after he wrapped up Heroine. A source close to him says, “Arjun has a jam-packed schedule this year. His calendar is choc-a-bloc and he had already decided that he would take a break after he finishes with Madhur’s film. He has to work intensely on his role as he is playing a cop in Chakravyuh. He will be doing some hard-core action for the film and is preparing for the same for which he will be away for about two months. During this time, he will have no contact with anyone and will be completely cut off from his family and friends. Also, as a part of his preparation, he met a couple of top cops in Delhi the last time he visited the capital. He observed them from close quarters to understand their mannerisms and body language.”

The actor recently tweeted, “Now to prepare for Prakash Jha’s Chakravyuha, he is one of my favourite directors and spending some quality time with loved ones, before I disappear into MP.” Besides Jha’s film, he will also be seen donning the uniform for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Jai Ramji.
