Another west-side story in Bollywood

British actor Anne-Marie Mogg, joins the bandwagon of international imports to India.

Another west-side story in Bollywood

Anne-Marie Mogg, the latest firang bombshell in tinsel town, has set her eyes on conquering Bollywood. She joins the league of other international imports like Barbara Mori, ex-Miss Sri Lanka Jaqueline Fernandes, current Miss UK Lisa Lazarus and British actor Florence Brudenell-Bruce.

But what sets Anne apart is that she has landed in India with a bang, as she has already signed a three-film deal with Percept Picture Company and has been especially flown in by the company for official work before her films go on the floor.

Born and brought up in England, Anne has previously worked with Paris Hilton in the 2006 film Bottoms Up, British comedy Heroes and the Italian mafia movie Two Families. She has been trained at The Actors Temple in the UK. The model-turned-actor has also sashayed down the ramp across England and Los Angeles.

Anne landed in India on Friday and is quite upbeat about working in Bollywood.  "I expect it (India) to be beautiful with lovely people. I know it's a welcoming country.  My mother is a South Indian and I intend to trace my roots here," she says.

She does, however, have one grouse. "I'm expecting it to be really hot," she says. Was she referring to men or the weather? "Everything," she laughs.

Sonu Lakhwani of Percept Talent Management revealed that during her stay in India, Anne will be doing a portfolio shoot and will also undergo Bollywood dance training with choreographer Pony Verma. Post these, an  announcement will be made to officially launch her.
