Another delay in Jackson guardianship case
A custody hearing for late pop star Michael Jackson's children has been delayed for a second time following the request by his mother and ex-wife. The hearing, which was originally scheduled for July 6, has been rescheduled for July 20 at the request of Jackson's mother, Katherine Jackson, and Jackson's former wife Debbie Rowe, the CNN reported today.

A judge yesterday delayed by a week the guardianship hearing scheduled for Monday. The singer's mother will remain the temporary guardian of his three children -- 12-year-old Michael Joseph Jackson Jr.also known as Prince Michael, 11-year-old Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson and seven-year-old Prince Michael "Blanket" Jackson II.

Rowe, who was married to Jackson from 1996 to 1999, is the biological mother of the first two children while the singer's third child was carried by a surrogate mother, whose name has not yet been released.

According to Michael Jackson's will filed in 2002, he wanted his children to be cared for by his mother. If Katherine Jackson, 79, is not living, Jackson said in the will, "I nominate Diana Ross as guardian." However, the two sides are now reportedly trying to broker an out-of-court settlement.
