Anil Kapoor, the family man

In today’s times where affairs and break-ups are the buzz words in B-town, some stars have still maintained a strong bond with their better halves. One such actor is Anil Kapoor, who recently celebrated his 27th wedding anniversary in Istanbul where he was shooting for his forthcoming film Race 2.  

A source says, “Anil realised that he won’t be able to go to India to celebrate his wedding anniversary with wife Sunita. So, he asked her to join him in Istanbul instead for a vacation and surprised her on the day of their anniversary. He had ordered a delicious chocolate cake, which they cut to begin the anniversary celebrations. Later that evening the entire star cast was treated by Anil and wife at a restaurant that served some yummy local delicacies.”

 An insider says that actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel were apparently in awe of the chemistry that the couple shared. “They were discussing with actors Saif Ali Khan and others about how it’s amazing to see a couple so engrossed and happy with each other after having spent 27 long years together. They also complimented Anil for his family man persona and Sunita for being a very understanding wife who is modern and independent.”    

Daughter Sonam Kapoor who is in Cannes too was missing her parents and tweeted, wishing them. She posted, “Its my parents wedding anniversary today.. They are an inspiration and a hope that fairytale endings are possible!” She also posted a picture of their parents just after their marriage, 27 years ago.
