The American Center and Brotherhood, an Indian socio-cultural organisation working towards mainstreaming disability since 1994, is highlighting two award-winning American documentaries and the exhibit 'Art is Ability,' by young artist Sourabh Mohan, to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness month.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness month in the US. The US is a leader in the fight for disability rights worldwide.

Hearing impaired Saurabh enlivens his silent world with the rhythym of colour and his abstract paintings are a joyful celebration of life and nature. 

The film Autism, the Musical follows five autistic children and their families as the children write, rehearse and perform their own full-length musical. The film won two Primetime Emmys.

Praying with Lior, by Ilana Trachtman, follows Lior preparing for his bar mitzvah and asks whether someone with Down syndrome can be a "spiritual genius."

Short films Still Waiting, and Dream It, Do It by Ashutosh Narayan, Sparsh by Vrishnika, and Dark by Indranil Goswami will also be screened with the documentaries.
