Amar Singh bonds with Shah Rukh at 'Paa' premiere

Amar Singh is definitely a changed man. The veteran politician, who is just back from a kidney transplant in Singapore, was seen bonding with Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan at the premiere of Amitabh Bachchan’s latest release.

“It was a just a casual chat. I wanted to say hello to him because I hadn’t met him for a long time,” said the politician immediately after “paying a visit” to SRK at screen number three at the Wadala multiplex where the film was premiered. Amar Singh actually had his seat in screen number two, along with the Bachchan family.

With Gauri, Yash Birla and Karan Johar looking on, Singh promised to call on Shah Rukh “soon”. Shah Rukh, on the other hand, was more than cordial to him, promising that they would meet soon. “Please do come to Mannat someday. Just let me know when you want to come,” SRK told Amar Singh. The pleasantries lasted for a full 10 minutes before the start of the movie. However, Shah Rukh and Aamir carefully avoiding crossing paths.

“Aamir made sure that he did not enter when Shah Rukh was there. Neither inquired about each other, forget saying ‘hi’,” says an actress who was allotted a seat in the same screen that Aamir was. Curiously, though Hrithik and Sussanne Roshan were in the same screen as SRK and Gauri, the stars hardly bonded though the wives exchanged pleasantries and air kissed.

Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta were conspicuous by their absence. Sources said that the other notable absentees — Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor — were busy shooting.
