Amaan lives by the law

The sarod player talks about his lawyer fiancée and his new album   ‘Mystic Dunes’

Amaan Ali Khan is riding high these days. The young sarod maestro is making news not only for his music, but also for his personal life. While he seems excited about performing in Mumbai as a part of the launch for new album ‘Mystic Dunes’ with brother Ayaan, Amaan is also excited about his marriage plans.

“As far as Mystic Dunes’ go, it’s about the various aspects of a desert and we have been working on it for a year now. The album has been musically arranged by Hitesh Sonik, who has also arranged music for films like ‘Omkara’ and it’s been an exciting project to work on,” says Amaan.

Moving on to his lady love, Amaan says marriage will happen very soon. “I met Avantika (Haksar) a year ago and started dating her about five or six months back. She’s from a good Kashmiri family. I thought there’s no point wasting time and hence decided to marry her. She is a lawyer and I think I’m blessed to have her in my life,” he smiles adding that the marriage date is yet to be fixed.
