Renowned film-maker Adoor Gopalakrishnan's three hour-long documentary on Kerala's classical art form Koodiyattam will be premiered at the Smithsonian Institution at Washington on March 19.
Adoor would presenting the film and participating in a question-answer session after the screening, a press release issued in Thiruvananthapuram stated.
The film, scripted by Sudha Gopalakrishnan, is produced by the capital-based Margi theatre for UNESCO.
The director will also participate in the `Maximum India' event being organised by the Kennedy Centre. He would speak at a seminar on `women in Indian cinema' and present his film Naalu Pennungal (Four Women) there.
The Universities of Wisconsin and Lawrence have also invited him to screen his films and interact with the faculty and students.
