Adnan Sami’s ready for a tell-all

The singer’s autobiography will have chapter on his current wife Roya as well as his experiences with his earlier wives

Adnan Sami’s ready for a tell-all

Looks like autobiographies are the flavour of the season. Adnan reveals to After Hrs that he has been approached by leading publishers to pen down his own life. But what’s most interesting about this development is that when Adnan writes it, it will be a tell-all that will have chapters talking about his two troubled marriages with Sabah and Zeba Bakhtiar.

“Autobiographies should be no-holds barred or else it’s not an autobiography. I want to pen down everything from my childhood, to my father’s teachings that have helped me struggle against the odds and come out stronger, to my marriages and all the experiences  — good, bad or ugly. The world knows about what I have been through and so I don’t think I need to hide anything. It’s no secret that two of my marriages were failures,” says Adnan, who is also turning actor with two movies and also has a music album up for release. He is finalising  a world tour.

Adnan’s break-ups have been the most talked about events in the city. Sabah, who he married in 2001 and split within a year only to reunite in 2008, apparently registered a case accusing him of physical and mental torture. His earlier marriage with actor Zeba Bakhtiar was a short one and they have a son named Azaan. Zeba had apparently claimed that he had abducted Azaan and taken him to Dubai after the Lahore High Court awarded custody to her.

Adnan credits Roya saying, “She rescued me when I was in a lot of trouble. She gave me strength and comfort and has become my pillar of strength. She is a loving and warm person and a wonderful home-maker. My biggest regret in life is that my father could not meet her and see me happy with her. But I’m sure his blessings are with  us.”
