Aditya Chopra’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi quite the dumb movie

1. Taani (played by Anushka Sharma), educated, smart and obviously blessed with good eyesight, doesn’t recognise her husband, after he shaves his moustache off.

2. Taani  is ready to elope with her lover, Raj, the previous day. Next day she goes to a place of worship with husband Suri (played by SRK), opens her eyes, and sees Suri (any surprises?) in front of her and has a shocking change of heart! Hold it, she is even inspired to touch his feet like any ‘good bharatiya nari’.

3. One dialogue, ‘Mujhe tumme rab dikhta hai’  has been used so many times that one actually starts wondering if we need to read between the lines…because the line itself makes no sense.

4. A hilarious (unwittingly of course) scene: Tani tells Suri ‘Mohabbat mein dard hota hai…’ and Suri thinks to himself, ‘Isiliye mujhe do din se dard ho raha hai!’ Huh? The corny dialogues are definitely a ‘sardard’!

5. Timid Suri actually managing to literally pull the leg of a sumo wrestler, who is twice his size. And why were we exactly subjected to watching the butt of the wrestler at such close quarters? Was that the only titillation factor of the film by any chance?

6. A rakhi scene bang in the middle of a dance class? ‘Rab’ bless us!
