Acting with Kajol was fun: Ajay Devgn

They fell in love with each other while they were filming for a movie (Hulchul in 1995). That romance is still intact, when you ask Ajay about his wife Kajol.

“It’s fun! It’s always good to work with her. Kajol has always been my favourite co-star. It was great when we again faced the camera as co-stars,” says Ajay, who’s last big screen outing with Kajol was in  his directorial debut U, Me Aur Hum.

According to Ajay, he and Kajol knew that it would be very challenging working on their next animation movie because there were no ‘real’ characters in the movie.

“You need to imagine that there are so many people around you when in reality there’s only Kajol with me,” laughs Ajay, adding,

“So, we were talking to all imaginary faces, imaginary characters and also replying to them. Kajol was comfortable with the idea right from the first day. She was clearly having a lot of fun talking to these ‘people’ and I think she has done a great job in the film. Nobody could have expected better.”

According to Ajay, Kajol doesn’t have any hard-and-fast rule that she would only act when the there’s great director or a great banner when it comes to doing movies.

“If any story excites her, she would do it. It doesn’t matter if I am there or somebody else is there. If she feels it’s right for her, she would go ahead with it,” the actor adds.

It now seems daughter Nysa, like her dad, is also too fond of her mom’s acting. “She called all her friends to watch the movie and she was proudly hosting that screening.

She loved the movie and she loved her (Kajol) on the screen. Yug (his son) is too small to understand what’s going on but I am sure he too will behave the same way when he grows up enough to see the film,” Ajay signs off.
