Abu Salem reprised on screen

He may have started off with quite a bang, but actor Nikhil Dwivedi hasn’t really managed to create a foothold in the industry. Here’s yet another attempt from him to manage to catch some attention. The actor will be acting in a film, Tamachey, which is supposed to be based on the lives of Abu Salem and Monica Bedi.

A source close to the production team says, “Tamachey is a film that’s based on the lives of gangsters. People have recently accepted Nikhil in such a rough role after the success of Shor In The City. This film will be a realistic take on the lives of the people in the underworld, using a lot of fact merged with fiction.”

Adding to that, the source says, “The film will have a strong influence from the lives of Abu Salem and Monica Bedi. Episodes from their lives,  their torrid romance and the many misgivings because of that will be explored in one track of the film. Nikhil is very excited that he has been chosen for a role like this.”

The film will be produced by Suryaveer Singh, while the rest of the details of the cast and crew are currently being worked out. The makers are also looking for a leading lady, who will reprise the role of Monica Bedi in this film.
