Abhishek Bachchan’s luxury outing

Actor Abhishek Bachchan is in Milan and is being thoroughly pampered as he has been invited as a special guest by a leading design house there.

“He is a special guest at a grand private medieval palace in Italy. A suite has been reserved exclusively for him. During his stay at the centrally-located Hotel Lungarno, Abhishek has been invited to Palazzo Spini Feroni for a welcome lunch with the family (which owns the design house), followed by a personalised tour of the museum that the family owns,” says a source close to the star.

As a welcome gift, the family is reportedly gifting Junior B hand-made shoes.

“The made-to-order Tramezza shoe that has been gifted to him is a personalised, handmade men’s shoe featuring a stitched welting construction — the ultimate shoe crafting technique. Abhishek has selected the material, the colour and even the look of the shoe. So the shoe will bear his signature style,” the source said, adding, “During the shoe-making process he interacted with experts who measured his feet and then made his show in front of him.” Abhishek was also among the elite front-row guests to preview the Autumn Winter 2011 Men’s collection of the fashion house during Milan Fashion Week (held last Sunday).

“Creative Designer Massimiliano Giornetti met Abhishek backstage and the two discussed fashion trends and seasonal highlights hot off the runway,” the source ends. Abhishek is obviously ecstatic at the way he has been pampered in Italy. “They (the designer family) have a great love for India and all things Indian. It always feels nice when people show admiration and love towards another culture and country, especially when that country is yours!” Abhishek tweeted from Italy. Abhishek flies to Florence next.
