Abhishek Bachchan is getting adventurous in Kiwi-land

It’s actor Abhishek Bachchan's birthday today and though the star is well-aware of his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s plans to surprise him, what the actor’s unaware of, are the plans that his co-stars have in store for him today.

The Junior Bachchan who’s currently shooting in New Zealand for Abbas Mustan's Players with Sonam Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh has apparently been asked to report to the sets as usual.

However a source reveals that the entire unit is in a celebratory mode today and instead of shooting there are plans to whisk Abhishek away for a day of adventure sports.

And apart from Aishwarya, who's already joined him there, several of the actor's good friends including Sikandar too are expected to join in the fun.

Abhishek himself however reveals he’s “not too much of a birthday person”. “It’s my family and friends around me who make it special for me. But there’s no special birthday agenda on the cards. I prefer working and later celebrating it with my loved ones,” says the actor who’s always been rather shy talking about his birthdays.

As for surprises, he adds, “Of course, I love being surprised. Who doesn’t? Aishwarya and my loved ones make sure that they are all pleasant ones too,” he smiles. Unaware of the plans of his film unit, he says, “I hope to be celebrating the day doing what I enjoy doing the most — shooting!” But we probe him about his love for adventure sports, a side that he hasn’t revealed much of and he admits to being a closet adventure junkie, especially water sports.

“In fact I hope to indulge in some adventure sports after the shoot wraps up here. Sky-diving’s something I’m really keen on, as I’ve tried most other sports,” reveals the actor. As for his birthday wish, the actor reveals, “I’ve never felt the need to ask for anything. I think God’s been really kind to me and I can just thank Him for everything.”
