Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya opt out of IIFA awards

Actors Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan might be there at Toronto even as Abhishek Bachchan has made it clear that he won’t be there to perform at the upcoming IIFA awards.

“Abhishek proposed to Aishwarya at Toronto when Guru released, so there was huge pressure from everybody to bring them there again with the focal point that their love blossomed there. Also, the organisers apparently offered them a huge sum to have them together,” says a source. Abhi had a meeting with them and evinced an interest in it but he said that he would get back to them.

He never got back to them even as a few people thought that the sum offered (almost triple than what is normally allocated for a performance) will be an offer too good to refuse.

Now, according to the buzz, the organizers are negotiating with both Shah Rukh and Salman for an appearance. “Though Salman has not confirmed yet, but he might make an appearance for the sake of Chillar Party (which is meant to be his first production) and Shah Rukh might make it because that might be a good ground for promoting his next super-hero film. However, none of them have signed on the dotted line yet,” the source ends.
