Abhay Deol is the flavour of the season

Actor Abhay Deol is the flavour of the season and has garnered heaps of praise for his act in Aisha.

The young actor, who is regarded as one of the most talented artists present in Bollywood today, has in the last couple of years seen his popularity soar with films like Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and Dev.D.

Abhay is  enjoying the sound of the cash counters ringing. He says, “It feels good of course. For a film to have a chance at commercial success it has to be given a platform that can reach out to people. To have people in the industry on my side today, giving me more support, gives me the strength to carry on from here.”

Abhay is also one of the most eligible bachelors in Tinseltown and though there is gossip about him seeing model (Miss Great Britain 2006) and actor Preeti Desai, he has always chosen to keep his personal life private. “The tag sounds great though I’m not the one to tell you what stands out most about me for all to see and adore,” he humbly says.

Talking about his sex appeal, Abhay shoots, “My appeal is for others to see. I don’t try too hard to put it on so maybe that works for most people. That’s what works for me in a woman, I guess like attracts like.” Abhay is also the hot new face in the endorsement circuit. “I set out to do what I believed in.

Commercial success was important for me to continue doing what I believed in, without compromise. I guess that created an identity for me, one that was given so I could be put in a box. And that of course has a lot to do with endorsements,” he says.
