Abhay Deol imposter alert!

After much confusion about actor Abhay Deol being on a micro blogging site, he clarifies that he isn’t very comfortable with social networking sites.

Abhay Deol imposter alert!

Reclusive actor Abhay Deol says social networking sites make him slightly uncomfortable. The actor who has quite a few imposters on micro-blogging site, Twitter, says he doesn’t have an account and most are fake. “I am not on any of these sites. I used to have an account but there are a few imposters doing the rounds. So I stopped it because it became a bit of a problem. I had a fan page of Facebook initially, but later on the PR’s who were handling it, started misusing it. I observed that my quotes were either being misconstrued or tweaked to something else that I never said, so I decided that it’s better to be off these sites,” confesses the actor.

Abhay’s next film, Shanghai sees him playing a Tamil character, Krishnan; that he says was very difficult for him to do. Though he is confident of the product, he is also nervous. “It is a mix of everything. I want my audiences to look forward to my films. I want them to have expectations and live up to them. It is important to feel the pressure,” he says. While his choices are unconventional, he says his family is what keeps him going. “You aren’t looking for praises from family. People who are close to you  don’t care about how good or bad you will feel with their comments. They tell you the truth. Afterall, you want to keep your family happy with all the work that you do.” he says.

Though he has done a variety of roles, one thing that he still has to get used to is shaking a leg on screen. However, he has now, gotten quite comfortable with putting on his dancing shoes for special numbers. “I am not as comfortable with dancing as I am with acting. I loved the script of Shanghai but I loved it even more when I knew the film had no singing and dancing. Having said that, if the film required it, I would have done it. My comfort with dance is relevant to the plot and character. I still need to practice more to get my steps right and be comfortable.”
