Aamir Khan banned Kareena Kappor from using cellphone on the sets

Following a ban by actor Aamir Khan on the use of mobile phones on the sets of his forthcoming film being directed by Reema Kagti, his co-star Kareena Kapoor apparently has now been forced to let go of her favourite habit — being constantly busy with her mobile. The actor, as all her friends know, is always glued to her mobile.
“Kareena uses a Blackberry, and another phone as a stand-by for her staff members. In fact, the first thing that she does after giving a shot is to ask for her instrument from her assistant. She is constantly chatting with her friends on her messenger. But for the first time, somebody had the guts to tell her that Aamir has banned the device on the sets,” says a source.

Kareena, sources say, was surprised with the decision, but decided against making a hue and cry about it. “As a result of Aamir’s ban, Kareena has to be without a mobile for the whole day. She can now check her messages once or twice in a day when she retires to her vanity van for a break. But that’s hardly a solace for a girl who’s never lets her phone out of her sight,” adds the source. 

Saif, who is shooting for Agent Vinod in Delhi at the moment, has also changed his plans to bide with Aamir’s wishes. “They now chat only at the end of the day as  Kareena is not available on her mobile all day. Bebo’s (her pet name) is now warming up to the idea. For someone, who could never imagine a life without her mobile, it’s been a while now since she’s been without one throughout the day.  She has found out that she’s managing just fine,” the source says.
