A spa-cial treat

Fashionista Nisha Javeri talks about how she plans to redefine the term ‘relaxation’ and more

MUMBAI: For all this while, she was perhaps best known as a ‘socialite’. But Nisha Javeri is now aiming at shaking off the tag with her latest venture as a spa owner. “I have been wanting to set up a spa for a good four years now but somehow I just couldn’t get around to doing it; I guess there’s a time for everything and mine is now,” she smiles.

And while the spa is yet to open for the public as the trials are still on, Nisha is as busy as she possibly could be. “These days one has to ensure that one’s completely ready before you start offering services. For now, we are just sticking to trials and they are strictly by invitation only,” notes Nisha, adding that she herself could do with a spa session!

Another interesting aspect is that the spa boasts of an ambience that most in the city don’t and that’s the privacy. “The spa is spread out over two floors and has an open terrace. It’s like a small bungalow, complete with an adjoining lawn that adds to the overall experience,” she explains, adding that the water fountains at the entrance only add to the charm.

Of course, its services - including special treatments for pregnant women - are a talking point in themselves. But ambitious that she is, Nisha also plans to set up a chain of Myrah spas in the country and what’s more, she intends to come up with an entire range of spa products that would be manufactured and marketed under the same label. “The day spa is just the beginning for my idea is to come up with a heritage spa or a destination spa with its own spa cuisine and similar services; it’d be on par with the kind you’d see abroad,” she reveals. “The key lies in catering to one’s customer with result oriented packages and they’ll clinch the deal,” ends Nisha. From glamming up parties to redefining the term relaxation, Nisha sure seems to have come a long way, what say?
