A break for Sandalwood actress Radhika Pandit?

She’s been on cloud nine ever since her Sandalwood debut Moggina Manasu fetched her both fame and awards. News is that actress Radhika Pandit has just begun work on a film that she’s been excited about ever since she first heard the story. The film, titled Sagar, will see her star alongside actor Prajwal Devaraj.

“The script caught my attention immediately. Added to that, there’s a very good technical team — right from the production house, Ramu Enterprises, to the director MD Sridhar and the cinematographer Krishnakumar — it is a dream team,” gushes Pandit. Sagar will also mark her first film opposite Prajwal, since their last project together — Superman, didn’t quite take off.

Call it destiny too, for it was actor Chiranjeevi Sarja who was in talks for this role before the production house zeroed in on Prajwal instead. “I’m looking forward to working with Prajwal. I play the role of an NRI girl in India, who is sober and classy. I like that,” says Pandit.

The fact that the film also stars two other heroines seems to be of no concern for Pandit. “The story is nice, my character is strong and I believe in the team. Plus, my first film Moggina Manasu also featured two other heroines, but people noticed my work,” points out Pandit, who has been working almost non-stop since then.

“Can you believe that! I haven’t yet taken a break between films. But, I’m not complaining because I’m loving every role and film I’m getting,” says Pandit, whose currently juggling between Adhuri and Sagar, and is waiting for the release of Hudugru.
