8 glam city girls to try and survive rural India for reality show

Is it possible for the delicate city girl to stay in an actual village with villagers? In a new reality show titled Desi Girl, two worlds which are poles apart have come together to entertain the viewers. Eight Mumbai-bred, glamourous divas have been transported to a real life village in Punjab called Sialba Majri, few hours from Chandigarh.

The girls will have to adapt to the village life and perform all the daily chores such as milking buffalos and cleaning cow dung. Moreover, the girls will have to compete with each other to win the hearts of the villagers. Eventually, the winner shall be crowned the ultimate Desi Girl by the villagers.

Sambhavana Seth, Kashmera Shah, Roshni Chopra, Monica Bedi, Anmol Singh, Rucha Gujarati, Ishitta Arun and Aushima Sawhney are the participants. The girls will stay with four families from the village in their respective houses. Each family will play host to two girls. During their stay, the girls will have to make food for the family and clean the house every day.

The show takes you to the roots of Indian culture where traditions of rural life exist even today. The girls will be put in situations they have never faced before. It will be a test of their inner strength and vigour to prove that they are not just glamourous and stylish but also have the ability to live and thrive in the ‘real’ India.
