50 Cent credits near death experience for good business sense

Rapper 50 Cent says he always keeps his cool while taking business decisions because close brush with death nine years ago has made him fearless.

In 2000, the hip-hop star was shot nine times in his native Queens, New York neighbourhood, while he was trying to leave drug pushing past behind and build his career as a singer. And the murder of his mum when he was just 12 had toughened him already.

"I will be the person with the least amount of fear in the room when we're negotiating business, because I'll weigh it up against situations far more dramatic than a deal going bad - like the loss of my mom, or the confusion after being shot. Not knowing what I was going to do with my life after being shot hurt more than being physically shot," The Daily Star quoted him as saying.
