11 hours and the movie 'Police Story 3' is done

Thriller Manju’s Police Story series have been quite a rage with Sandalwood fans. This time around, with the third part of his series, he has broken all records to complete his film in just 11 hours on Monday between 6 am and 6 pm. “The initial plan was to finish it in 12 hours. Since it rained for an hour, we still finished it in the stipulated time,” he says gleefully.

The film, which had six directors led by Manju, also had a strong technical team of six cinematographers and six stunt directors. Everyone had been working hard for over six months to ensure all goes well.

“This was my dream for over five years. I wanted to take on an ambitious project, with songs and many fights. We had two songs, twelve fights and we still manged to finish it,” says Manju.
The film has Sudeep and Manju in the lead, with Neha Patil and Disha Poonaiah as the heroines.

“We have a strong supporting cast. Initially, I wanted to cast Saikumar, who has been part of the two earlier films. Since he had date issues, I acted out his part. The film should be ready for release towards the second half of next month,” says Manju.

Police Story 3, which was wrapped up in 11 hours, has made its way into the Guinness and Limca books of records. “Earlier, the Kannada film Sugriva, which had Shivarajkumar in the lead, was the quickest to be wrapped up. It was finished in 18 hours. We’ve beaten that record,” ends Manju on a triumphant note.
