Set in Jamshedpur, Bihar, Udaan, about a father and son, will be screened in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes festival. The film, starring popular TV actors Ronit Roy and Ram Kapoor, has been produced by Anurag Kashyap and Sanjay Singh.

The Phalke Ratna award has been instituted by the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy. It is presented on April 30, the birth anniversary of the father of the Indian film industry. Earlier Phalke Ratna award recipients include Sunil Dutt, Dilip Kumar, BR Chopra, and Manoj Kumar.

Parent company Comcast Entertainment Group has acquired exclusive basic cable rights to HBO's Sex and the City, giving both channels rights to all six seasons of the series which comprises 94 episodes. The networks, which will start airing the show in January, also get some broadband, wireless, and VOD rights. Comcast also acquired rights to the Sex and the City movie, which will premiere on E! in July 2012.
