It’s western for me: Nikita Thukral

Q: What does style mean to you?
A: I think being stylish is about being you. Be it Indian or western wear, pick an outfit that is your personal style. Being comfortable in what you wear should be the norm! I would like to sport something that’s comfortable, yet trendy!

Q: The colours you can’t do without....
A: Electric blue! I love all shades of blue, but electric blue tops the list. I have a huge collection of electric blue tees and also a pretty dress. Apart from this, I also love the classic black!

Q: What are the three must-haves in a girl’s wardrobe?
A: A pair of blue jeans is a must. It is the most comfortable outfit anyone can opt for. One must also have a couple of tees in basic colours like black and white that goes well with most trousers. Apart from this, a lip balm is also a must-have.

Q: Indian wear vs Western wear — what’s your pick?
A: I love sporting both, I am comfortable wearing jeans and tees and also ethnic wear like salwar suits and saris. But if I have to pick one, then I would go for the causal western outfits. They look absolutely cool.

Q: The most embarrassing outfit you’ve ever sported?

A: I remember wearing a mix of orange and yellow colour salwar kameez for my first Kannada film, Maharaja. It looked absolutely hideous and it was very embarrassing for me to sport that outfit. To top it all, my make-up man messed up the look further by applying a shocking red lipstick!
