Your Pinky bua is a target of several sexist jokes on the show. Doesn't it bother you?
Initially, when I was approached for the role, I was a little shocked. Women always have a problem about their age and beauty and this show was hitting on that. Also, Pinky bua is shown going after all the celebrity men on the show and I was a little apprehensive about how my in-laws would react to it. But then I thought to myself that the challenge of a comedy show lies in making fun of oneself. Men do it all the time, so I decided to take it up. Besides, it was an interesting and dramatic character. Kapil (Sharma) never says anything positive about Pinky bua and I expected the same kind of reaction from the audiences. I was pleasantly surprised when the opposite happened. My Facebook is flooded with comments about how beautiful and glamourous I look on the show. What's more, all my lines - I am hot, I am 22-year-old, kaun hai yeh aadami, etc have become so popular that T-shirts with these lines have come up. Even I have bought one!

Would you say Comedy Nights With Kapil has been a turning point in your career?
No doubt, the show has got me immense popularity, but it's not the first time. I have been fortunate enough to have got several such chances in my life. My role and dialogue 'abba dabba jabba' from Judaai had become a craze, then Gangutai from My Friend Ganesha was popular among kids, even my character and dialogue from Sonpari were liked. Comedy Nights With Kapil just adds to it.

Among the various celebrities you have wooed on the show, who has been the most challenging?
Undoubtedly, Amitabh Bachchan. It was khatarnak being on the stage with him. He has such an aura around him that one starts shivering in his presence. Now, Pinky bua sabke peeche bhagti hai, I didn't know how I would do that with Amitji. Everybody told me to go on stage and say, 'Mujhe pata hai aap dil se mere baarein mein soch rahe hai lekin logon ke saamne nahi bol rahe ho' and go. Which meant, my act would be over in two minutes! They were worried that if he doesn't respond to my shaadi ki proposal, which I make to every male celebrity, the act will be a zero. My hands and feet were cold when I went on stage. I just went up to him and said, 'Aapko mere liye poetry bolni padegi' and Amitji, who was serious till then, just got up and not only recited a poetry but also sang songs. The act went on 20-25 minutes and he told me I was a brilliant actress. That was a dream come true!

Heard you will be doing a serial Naadaniyan. What is your role in it?
It's an ongoing show and I found it very cute. I will be entering as the mother to two guys Pappu and Chandu. My role is not that of a typical mother - she is modern with a touch of comedy. I am looking forward to it.

Any films in the pipeline?
I have three Bolly films on floor and five Punjabi films. I am also doing the sequel to my Bhojpuri film Bai Chali Sasari, which I had done when I was 17!
