Here are the updates of day 2 of India vs England third test at Trent Bridge.
India were 124 for two in their second innings against England at stumps on the second day of the third cricket Test on Sunday.
India have an overall lead of 292 runs over England with eight wickets in hand.
At the close of play, Cheteshwar Pujara was batting on 33, while skipper Virat Kohli was unbeaten on 8.
India bowled out England for 161 in their first innings at tea on the second day of the third cricket Test on Saunday. Hardik Pandya took a five-wicket hauls as England were bundled out in 38.2 overs giving the vistors a 168-run lead. Pandya ended with figures of five for 28.
Earlier, India were bowled out for 329 in their first innings. Resuming at 307 for six, the remaining four Indian batsmen could add just 22 runs in 7.5 overs before English bowlers wrapped up the innings.
The Indian cricket team had the best day so far in the ongoing Test series as captain Virat Kohli and his deputy Ajinkya Rahane shared a brilliant 159-run partnership, before England clawed their way back in a riveting first day of the third Test match at Trent Bridge here on Saturday.
India again lost the toss for the third time and were asked to bat first by England. The Men in Blue made three changes to their team, dropping the out-of-form opener Murali Vijay, wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik and spinner Kuldeep Yadav.
Left-hander Rishabh Pant was handed his first cap, while Jasprit Bumrah and Shikhar Dhawan returned to the side, following their embarrassing 159-run innings defeat against England at the Lord's last week.
