Happy Independence Day 2018!
On the occasion of India's 72nd Independence Day, the entire country is dipped in the fervour of patriotism and the spirit of the day can be felt in the way the citizens are celebrating the day acoss the nation. When the whole country has been painted in the colours of the tricolour, how can our Bollywood celebs be left behind? Since the morning of August 15, 2018 a number of B-Town celebrities have sent out their wishes and messages for their fans on social media.
Right from Amitabh Bachchan (who was one of the first ones to wish his fans), Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt to Priyanka Chopra, tinsel towners had some really important and relevant messages to share.
While some asked fellow citizens to stand up for crime against women, others emphasised on 'Make In India' and the need to save our resources.

5. Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan's Independence Day wishes - the Sui Dhaaga style

Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhwan found the perfect way to celebrate Independence Day this year, by promoting the local artisans and crafts. They shared the specially created Indian flag by Indian embroiders. In a small video, they revealed that the three colours of the flag were created using three Indian art forms (of embroidery) - Sarron with Chikankari, White with Phulkari and Green with Kashida .

Addressing the issue of women's safety and animal cruelty, John Abraham told PTI, "As a democracy, we are magical and doing things which are fantastic and in terms of leadership, we are trying to clean up the system. The negative, I feel, is we have nurtured fringe elements from both sides, if you look at the communal space, that doesn't go well for the country. But the biggest negative is that this country isn't safe for women and animals. When you go out and someone asks, 'Hey is your country rape capital of the world?', it hurts."
Manoj Bajpayee added, "Women's safety, animal welfare, human rights welfare, all these things are becoming a 'no-issue' for any government. It is a worrying situation where culprits are let off. You feel ashamed with each and every rape of a child or woman. We feel ashamed and scared when human rights are taken away. It has happened during all the governments. It is high time for all of us put our voice forward strongly, if you don't do that, nothing will happen."
